I'm pretty much just a country girl. I love nature and being out in it. I enjoy running my angora mohair business from home so I can spend time with all my critters and garden, or whatever. I love being able to sit outside in our yard first thing in the morning and in the evenings and listen to the quiet.
I have a great husband of 28 years, with a lot of patience (luckily) with me and all my critters. I have a wonderful son and daughter in law, with there 3 children that live near us. I also have 4 awesome stepchildren, which unfortunately, do not  live here near us. One has 4 children, one has 3 children.
I have 6 Angora goats, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. We live about 24 miles N of Winnemucca, NV. on our 8 acres out in the desert where it's very quiet. Just the way I like it! I love my privacy.

 

  I first started out with angora mohair and Romney wool to fix up vintage troll dolls. At one point I had hair left over I didn't need so i sold it and found out how easy it sold. So basically, this is how I got started selling. It took me months and many many hours in the meantime to figure out the whole process from raw (unwashed) to the finished combed product. Didn't take long to get addicted to working with this wonderful fiber! I don't spin, or felt, and I've never been a real crafty type person, so I am happy to provide angora mohair to those of you who are. It is very rewarding for me to see some of the dolls that have been created with my mohair. My other benefit of course is the income, but this also helps to feed all my animals on our own little paradise here in the desert.
