Icelandic wool is perfect for replacing troll doll hair. The vintage Thomas Dam trolls were actually made with Icelandic wool for the hair. Also used was Tibetan lambs wool.
There is NO HIDE on these so you can rest assured that the animal was just sheared.
This fiber is also great fro felting and spinning and for doll hair for the primitive doll art.
Icelandic wool actually has 2 coats, an underneath coat and the outer coat which are the actual locks. The underneath coat is very thick and dense.
These pieces I have for sale still have the undercoat attached so it's very easy for you to just cut off the size you need into squares or whatever shape you want, and glue it on.
My measurements for length are including the undercoat.
